There are an estimated 3,500,000 homeless people in the US. Also an estimated 17,300,000 people living in household with insufficient food to live off of. Why does the US government jump so fast to help other countries throwing money and food their way yet doesn't do this to their own citizens?

Because Americans hide this dirty little secret from the rest of the world, of how thousands of there citizens are living in third world squalid conditions in tent cities all across the USA.
After seeing this on Oprah and on many news stories, I went to the USA and spent my holiday time visiting many of these American families. Who have been secretly living in these dreadful impoverished conditions, with no running water, toilets and showers over the last eight years.

Mine and many businesses in Australia donates monetary funds to the American Salvation Army. To help many of these families, with food, clothes, blankets and personal items. Just to give them all a little dignity and a hand up, not a hand out.
More needs to be done, as this problem in your country is spiraling and growing, yet it's still being kept secret.

i live in australia, there are no gun stores here. so first i would go to the bus yards and jack a bus, take it to my mates house, grab him and his family, grab my family, and many other of my friends. then we'd go to his uncles farm, because he owns a shooting range, crab every single weapon and bit of ammunition, stock my friends up, drive the bus to the local market, and grab all the swords they sell there, all the walkie talkies and food. then use scrap metal from the sheds everywhere to cover up the bus for maximum protection, and make a third story on the bus, filled with food and ammunition, then i would drive 20 minutes to my local shopping center, the biggest in australia by the way, then i would seal everything off, every where, and grab more food, and get me all my friedns and family, and grab every single bit of food from every story, adn take it to the roof, as well as all flammable liquids and metal and wood bits for sealing off areas, then we would all live on the roof with tents, and lots of buckets for water collecting, we should have enough food water and ammunition for a few years, we wouldnt need rescue, we would be the rescue point, we would make a slide from the roof to the ground, for anyone that may need help, and bridges to other buildings for other points of living/escape. oh and we break into security and take all the guns there, maybe 20-30 pistols. except in my imaginary story all the toy guns in the shopping center turn real, so we would have like thousands of guns lol. reality sucks. anyway good luck.
