Anyone who knows of good places to go camping in PA or Fla, please let me know of some nice places we are planning a trip in Fla and then PA, thanks!

Answer
I'm going to agree with some of the answers that have been given out already. Worlds End State Park, Leonard Harrison State Park / Colton Point (Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania) and Hyner View all have magnificent views, and best of all, the first 2 have waterfalls nearby.

Pa State parks website: http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/ for SP campground information.

I would personally recommend camping out near Ricketts Glen, but the falls trail is closed from the recent flooding 2 weeks ago. Could be weeks to months to reopen the trails.

The poconos area is nice for rolling mountains and again, waterfalls.

I don't know much about anything other than the Northeastern part of the state yet, but if you care to see some pictures, I'll include my website: http://www.nepaphotographer.com

Where is the cheapest place to park and camp near/in the PA Grand Canyons?

Faye

My friend and I want to go camping near/in the PA Grand Canyons (not the actual grand canyons). We don't have much money at all and don't want to stay in the State Parks which is 15-19 dollars a night. I would like somewhere for free or less than 10 bucks a night. We don't want to hike anywhere to camp. We just want to park and camp. Thanks in advance!

Answer
If you're that strapped for funds, perhaps you should delay your trip. Just pitching a tent and camping out isn't smart. Any legitimate campground will charge you at least that much per night. Here's a link:http://www.allcampgrounds.com/blog/?tag=pennsylvania-grand-canyon

Last week in Yellowstone I ran into this big group of Harley guys who looked like the real deal, grey beards, handle bar mustaches, well worn leathers, only they had Swiss flags attached to their hogs and they were all talking presumably in Swiss. Very weird. Wonder if they allow Harleys to hold up traffic on the autobon.

Answer
yeah you see a lot of Europeans & other people riding all over the western U.S. in the summer.
one year at sturgis there was a large group of Austrailians (at least a hundred of them)that took over a whole section of glencoe campground. they had a lot of older harleys some of them real rat bikes or "jappers" as they call them. "she's a real japper aint she mate".they were a lot like American bikers from the 60's or 70's.
once ran into a pack of 20 or30 old harley & indian flat heads mostly from the 1930's headed east at about 50 mph on I-90 they were from the netherlands & headed back to new york to return home by ship after a month of riding all over the U.S. on those old flatty's!
never been there, but I read that big full dress harleys have a near cult status in Japan where there riden by clubs of wealthy mostly older men. (RUB's about the same as here).
strangest one I ever ran into was a guy who flew in from England with just a tent & gear in a back pack & camped out at sturgis for bike week. he never even had a bike! not sure he could even ride.
sturgis used to be a real interesting place before it was taken over by family's with little kids & thousands of old people who drive motor homes & golf carts.

Have you ever been camping in the wilderness?

Cher journal,

Answer
WOW. Thats great.
It's really well thought out...as far as I can tell. Putting a life in danger for people you don't know? That's great stuff. Make sure to post more, if you make it!

I love swimming, it makes me relaxed. At home I go swimming almost every week. I am generally quite sporty and I like dangerous sports. The hotel also had a tennis court, but I donât like tennis. Big, with 5 rooms, two bedrooms, one bathroom, one kitchen and a living room. TVs in every room ,except bath, with satellite. Bath Jacuzzi, with jets. King-size beds in both bedrooms. The accommodation was good value for the price that we paid.

We chose that area because it had a great view and because it was near the beach. My last summer holidays I spent in different places but I'll describe one of all. In July I went at the Polish seaside. I was there with my best friends. We did there a lot of funny things and because It was sport's camp we was playing football, basketball, volleyball and handball. I live on an island so itâs not a big difference, thatâs why I prefer both of them.

Yesterday was Sunday and me and my friends we went to a paintball centre and we played paintball. It was fantastic time because we were running and shooting. I think it's good game for boys but not only. For the rest of the day I relaxed and did my homework for school. My family went to church and they had a great day there.

Today itâs drizzling but that doesnât change my plans. Today I donât feel like doing anything and I am just going to relax and tonight I am going to football training. Today is bank holiday so Iâm not going to school. My sister is going to a birthday party and my father went fishing with his friends. This summer holiday Iâm going to Romania to visit the rest of the family and I will also go to the Black sea and Carpathian Mountain and me and my family will stay there for a month.

Answer

What is there to do in Minnesota/North Dakota/South Dakota/Iowa/Missouri?

So we are going on a trip we just have to narrow it down to where. We are most likely going to Minnesota but we can do one of two things as well.
1. Go to South Dakota and North Dakota as well, but it would be in the East, so we wouldn't go to Mt. Rushmore :(
2. Go to Iowa and Missouri and go as far south as St. Louis.

But I need help finding out good things to do in any of these states. I left the question pretty vague so I can get as much feedback as I can from people who have visited, or lived, in these places.

Answer
Eastern North or South Dakota - not really much there, sorry.
Iowa - there are a few things scattered about - Field of Dreams, Amana colonies, Galena, Il is just across the Mississipi and is a wonderful town with U.S, Grant's house and other nice stuff. Effigy Mounds National Park. Des Moines, which I dont know too much about.
Missouri - Hannibal (Mark Twains home town), the St Louis Arch - There is a small Holocaust Museum at one of the Universities. Across the rivere is Cahokia Mounds, an International Heritage Site, with huge earthen mounds.
Minnesota - lots of stuff in the Twin Cities, arts and science museums, theatre (most theatres per capita outside of New York) many parks and lakes, Mall of America. The Metro is the largest between Chicago and the West Coast.
I suggest the drive on Hwy 61 between I-90 and the Twin Cities - one of the nicest drives in the country along the Mississippi River. Waseca (along the route) had the National Eagle Center and a shop just for Japanese wedding kimonos - some of which cost tens of thousands of dollars.
Another area in Minnesota is Duluth and the North Shore. Duluth is one of the largest ports in the country and is built on the side of a 600 ft hill - very scenic with many parks allong the streams flowign down - it has been pushing the tourist industry as well and there are far to many sites to list. The North Shore of Lake Superior is gorgeous - numerous State Parks along the rivers, and one of the most beautiful lighthouses you will ever see - Split Rock Lighthouse on a cliff over the Lake.
The Superior Hiking Trail runs for hundreds of miles in the hills and forests along the Lake - it will really get you out in the wilderness for a while between access points. The International Wolf Center is in Ely Minnesota, and you can do some great wilderness camping and canoing in the area. Ther is a mine nearby that is a state park so you can go deep underground and in Hibbing you can visit the largest open pit mine in the country.
There is also the source of the Mississippi river at Lake Itasca, and Alexandria has a rune stone that was left by Norse explorers in 1362. Moorhead Minnesota holds a replica Viking ship that was made by hand and sailed to Norway, as well as a hand made Stave church, replicating the old Scandnavian churches from the time Christianity first came to the region.

What are all the FEMA Camps for?

freedom

Fema is currently building "concentration camps" all over the country. These camps r hardcore and contain incinerators . . . .wtf. They are also running martial law suburban takover drills all over the country. Why is this being ignored??? Is it all really happening? We are hitting that point in history again huh? Many will die . ..

Answer
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) along with other government institutions are currently conducting an 8-day anti-terror and disaster exercise from May 1st through May 8th called National Level Exercise 2-08 in the United States. We recently covered this exercise in great detail using press releases from FEMA and U.S. Northern Command as source material. We also raised the prospect of the government using this exercise as cover for a potential false flag terror attack. Considering the historical precedent of the government running drills on the day of the 9/11 attacks as cover for the actual operation, this 8-day long anti-terror and disaster exercise sparked some concern. According to the press releases from both FEMA and U.S. Northern Command, drills are slated to take place in Oregon, Washington State and in the Washington DC or mid-Atlantic area. With this in mind, it is incredibly strange to see reports from the Des Moines Register and the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier indicating that a secretive FEMA exercise is taking place in Waterloo, Iowa. According to these reports, the federal government has leased out the entire National Cattle Congress fairgrounds until May 25th for an exercise. Early reports indicate that a large number of mobile home-size trailers and generators have been moved on to the residence and that both FEMA and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are involved in this exercise. Considering the reported involvement of FEMA and ICE, the trailers and generators being moved in, as well as the secrecy around this particular exercise, this has all the hallmarks of a FEMA camp drill. The purpose of ICE being involved appears to be to round up illegal aliens so they can test the efficiencies of their processing procedures.

Reports of the National Cattle Congress fairgrounds being leased out until May 25th by the federal government first appeared in the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier's report. According to their report, both large mobile home-size trailers and generators have appeared on the site. In addition, one of the board members of the National Cattle Congress stated that it was his understanding that FEMA was involved. An employee of ICE was also on site indicating that they must have some sort of involvement in what is happening.

The following blurb is taken from the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier's report.

Normal operations on the National Cattle Congress fairgrounds have been suspended for most of May as the federal government has leased out virtually the entire facility for a training exercise, NCC general manager Doug Miller said Saturday.

Miller said he could release few details. But activity on the NCC fairgrounds was apparent Saturday, as contractors installed massive generators adjacent to many buildings on the NCC fairgrounds and windows of many of the buildings were covered up, blocking views of any work going on inside. A number of large mobile home-size trailers also have taken up residence on the site in the past several weeks.

Miller said the federal government is leasing the fairgrounds through May 25 under an agreement approved by the NCC board. He and others close to NCC said no entity has leased out the entire fairgrounds for that long a period.

He said it is his understanding that access to the NCC fairgrounds will be restricted beginning Monday, except for next weekend's Cedar Falls High School prom at Electric Park Ballroom.

Miller said he has primarily been dealing with the U.S. General Services Administration on the arrangements, and that his physical facilities staff have been cooperating with federal officials on logistics and setup for the exercise.

Miller said that, other than GSA, he could not identify which agencies are involved in the exercise. But an individual on site Saturday who identified himself as an employee of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement referred inquiries to ICE officials in Minneapolis, who could not immediately be reached Saturday.

Miller also was referring inquiries to federal officials in Cedar Rapids, and NCC board member Tunis Den Hartog said it was his understanding the Federal Emergency Management Agency was involved.

The secrecy around this drill and the lack of any formal press release or announcement by the federal government on what is happening is incredibly disturbing. In fact, an ICE spokesman declined to comment on the drill and a news blackout has been imposed at the National Cattle Congress fairgrounds where all of this activity is taking place.

The following comes from the Des Moines Register's report.

Federal officials have imposed a news blackout at the National Cattle Congress fairgrounds in Waterloo, where they have leased almost the entire property through May 25.

Tim Counts, a Midwest spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE, declined to say Monday whether an immigration raid is pending that would use the fairgrounds as a detention center.

"ICE never talks about our investigative activity or possible future enforcement actions," Counts said. "Regarding the exercise in Waterloo, there is currently no publicly releasable information about that, so we aren't releasing any."

He declined to say whether the "exercise" involves training or an immigration enforcement operation.

"We expect that at some point there will be additional information available, but I can't speculate at what point that might be," Counts said.

The fact that officials from the federal government are being very secretive about whatâs happening here indicates that they are doing something they know people arenât going to like. Even the state Governor has been left in the dark about whatâs happening.

Below is another blurb from the Des Moines Register's report.

Representatives of Gov. Chet Culver and U.S. Sens. Tom Harkin and Charles Grassley said they had no information about what was happening at the Cattle Congress fairgrounds.

At Grassley's request, his staff called ICE officials on Monday.

"During the call, the ICE officials would neither confirm nor deny anything to Senator Grassley's staff," said Beth Pellett Levine, a Grassley aide.

The apparent involvement of FEMA and ICE indicate that the purpose of this exercise is to test their FEMA camp deployment apparatus using the round up of illegal aliens as a test case. Although there is no way of confirming that this is 100% the case, if there are round-ups of illegal aliens in this general area during the next few weeks, it will be pretty obvious at that point.

Regardless of the goals or aims of this drill, there is no questioning the fact that the federal government does not want to stop illegal immigration. The federal government is encouraging this problem so they can dissolve the borders between the three countries and form a North American Union between Canada, Mexico and the United States. With all of the hysteria surrounding the phony war on terror, it is ridiculous that the border has not been sealed which shows that the open border policy with Mexico is supported by the Bush administration. Since the vast majority of Americans want something done about the illegal alien problem, they will think that this is a great thing, but what they fail to realize is that these camps are not really for illegal aliens, they are for the average American.

Plans for government run concentration camps are well documented from Rex 84, the Armyâs Civilian Inmate Labor Program and the KBR built detention facilities. This looks like a continuation of this concentration camp agenda and considering that the government has refused to take real action to stop the illegal alien problem, why would they want to build a FEMA camp in the middle of Iowa to run a drill? The answer is simple, they are going to use the excuse of the illegal alien problem to setup the FEMA camp infrastructure which will be used to house the average Americans who protest what this corrupt and out of control government has been doing.

It is incredibly suspicious that the federal government would not openly announce this exercise and even go out of their way to ensure a media blackout of their activities. There is little doubt that this is part of their agenda to setup a large scale FEMA camp apparatus in order to house large quantities of American citizens. The Nazis used concentration camps to house and eventually exterminate the Jews and it is frightening to see that a similar infrastructure is now being setup in America.

I'm an American who has dreamed about visiting Australia, what are the best sights and places to go to?

camping place brisbane on Brisbane - Camp Hill - Regina Caeli Catholic Church (18 Feb 2007)
camping place brisbane image

Sci Fi Fan

(Australians only please) I think you have a beautiful country, truly one of the most unique places on earth. Would love to see it with my own eyes soon. The way some countries in the rest of the world feel about Americans I'm afraid to go anywhere else. But there does not seem to be as many complaints about us from down there.

Answer
Don't worry. With most of us, whenever we rip off another country, its all in the spirit of fun-especially where sport is involved.

Of the places in Australia to go, if you aren't a regular to skiing, its the start of snow season in the Blue Mountains.

Definitely go to Sydney-lots to see and do there, including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Centrepoint Tower etc. Plenty of shops too.

Melbourne is another great place to go. The temperature shouldn't bother you too much-our winters aren't as cold as yours. Again, lots of tourism there.

Going even further South, Tasmania has a lot of natural beauty, with magnificent forests and rivers, as well as some historic value if you're into that. Port Arthur is definitely worth seeing if you are.

Back up North, Queensland is a fantastic place. Brisbane is a lot like Sydney, maybe not as great but still fantastic. Loads less traffic, but Queenslanders may not agree =P All along the coast are some great beaches! Before I forget, bring a pair of boardies and sunscreen-you'll need it unless its Winter when you come (which is like, now. Come in 6 Months and you'll die without sunscreen and a hat) Maybe half-way up the coast of QLD, maybe a bit further, is the largest coral reef in the world - the Great Barrier Reef. If you come any time after say, October, check this out. Absolutely breathtaking if you go on a good day. Still pretty good if the weather isn't as planned, but try and coincide it with a day with a good forecast.

If you plan to go up North, see Cairns and Townsville. They are both great places that will help you with both the above (GBR) and below (Islands).

As well as beaches, there are plenty of islands. Fraser Island is a popular 4WDing destination, make sure you go at low tide if you plan on doing that. Plenty of wildlife there. Of course, that isn't the only island. Up top there are the many islands, with great communities too! The Aboriginals are really friendly, I met a guy from Horn Island and from what I've heard its great up there. If you're into meeting people from different cultures, head up there, just North of the mainland peninsula. Another island that has a good reputation is Lord Howe island, but I don't know much about it. A Google search would give you loads of information though.

Just about anywhere in Australia there is bushland. If you're into camping, you're at the right place. We have great sites up here. From beaches to backyards, from the bush to the coast, you can camp just about anywhere.

Back near Brisbane you have the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Both have brilliant beaches and the Gold Coast in particular some great tourist destinations and theme parks.

Note: Gold Coast is a city, Sunshine Coast is an actual coast

I'm sorry, I couldn't tell you much about Darwin, but in the Northern Territory there are some great natural features. Kakadu National Park is on the World Heritage List, and for good reason. It has some of, if not the most wildlife diversity in Australia!

If you do decided to visit the Northern Territory, there is one place you MUST go. Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (Ayers Rock/Uluru). Here is a picture of it:
Uluru:

Kata Tjuta isn't as heard of, but is still worth the visit.

Stay the night at Ayers Rock Resort. It offers a pretty good view, is close by and it is worth seeing Ayers Rock at both dusk and dawn. As you saw in the photo, it has a great illusion of changing colour.

http://www.ayersrockresort.com.au/

Further South, in South Australia, around halfway between Uluru and Adelaide, is Coober Pedy, the opal mining capital of the world. Good idea to have a stop here, it makes a nice change from the seemingly neverending highway. Pretty interesting stuff here.

Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, is renowned for wine. Go to a vineyard there and try some wine tasting. Sadly I can't tell you much more, but I'm sure that, once again Google can supply you with the needed information.

Back over in New South Wales, the Hunter Valley also has some great vineyards. Admittedly, there aren't as many tourist attractions here, but if you have the time it can be worth the look around. Newcastle is know as the 'capital' of the Hunter Valley. Some good beaches, Nobbys Lighthouse is an attraction, but sadly, you can't go up to it anymore. You can still walk along the breakwater though.

I'm a bit biased, as I live in Newcastle, but its a great place to live. N

Where to visit between Brisbane and Sydney?

Sarah D

Hi, I am travelling into Brisbane in April and have 3 weeks to make it down to Sydney. Were thinking of hiring a camper van for the drive. Can anybody make suggesstions as to what are must sees along the way or/ and in both Brisbane and Sydney. Thanks.

Answer
Firstly, get in touch with the NRMA (National Road and Motorists Association) and the RACQ (Royal Automobile Club of Queensland). These two organisations have lots of touring guides and maps available for planning your trips.

Secondly, reconsider the campervan. Whilst it is a good way to travel around and have cheap accommodation, you can be restricted to some degree. Rental of a small 4 door sedan will be much, much less than a campervan. Fuel costs will be much less. With a car and a cheap motel/hotel room, you can base yourself in an area and drive around the area in much more comfort and much less parking problems. With the campervan, if you want to do day trips, you have to leave the camping grounds and drive around to return to your campsite and all the associated set up problems. I could think of nothing worse than deciding to go to a meal in a restaurant and having to drive the campervan from the camping grounds to the restaurant then have to drive back at 10pm and back into the camping grounds and set up the van.

There are also many of the smaller, out of the way areas, that the roads aren't brilliant and may be difficult to negotiate in a campervan. You are also limited to staying in camping grounds and many of the areas you visit may not have these available. Also a point to remember, nearly every camping ground has onsite cabins and caravans available for overnight or longer. These are generally a fairly cheap option and you soon get sick of crawling around in the restricted space and headroom of a campervan. The two organisations listed at the start also have a fairly comprehensive book of an Accommodation Guide.

As for places to see and do, the entire coastline is dotted with hundreds of beautiful little towns and beachside villages. A lot of it is going to depend on what sort of things you like to do. There's so much available really, from the glitzy Gold Coast and its tourist traps, and the superb hinterlands areas. You can go visit Steve Irwin's Park, go fossicking for thundereggs, enjoy a magnificent scenic view over the Mt Warning volcano basin, bushwalk through the rainforest to lots of little waterfalls up in the Lamington National Park, visit a glowworm cave, take a boat trip out to a massive sand island, learn to surf.

Then head across the border and check out the beautiful villages of Mullumbimby, Lennox Heads and into the hippy commune refugee from the 60's Nimbin. Also lots of beautiful walks around here. Climb Mt Warning and watch the sunrise as this is the first part of Australian to greet the new day.

Further south, and just off the highway, stop in at Iluka and explore the wonderful rainforest right behind the coastal dunes. Rent a small tinny (little boat with an outboard motor) and try your hand at a bit of fishing, or simply rock up to the banks of the mighty Clarence river and cast a line out. Head down the road for about 10 mins to Woody Head, a delightful little beachside hamlet with a beautiful beach and good swimming. Spend a few hours walking over the rock platform and watching the tiny fish and other critters in the little rock pools. Again, a great place to do a bit of fishing. Catch the ferry across to Yamba and wander around this famous and favourite surfing mecca for generations of Australians. Failing that, drive further down the highway, turn left at Maclean and head out to Yamba, don't forget the compulsory photo of the lighthouse on the headland and a beer in the pub overlooking the beach. You might find you spend a day or two in Yamba also, the camping ground there is very close to the main areas.

South again and a 3-4 hour drive brings you to the Coffs Harbour area. Certainly a bit of a tourist mecca and a bit overdeveloped, but still worth a look as the coastline is truly beautiful. Don't forget the essential stop at the Big Banana and its tackorama and food. As the other poster said, consider staying at Woolgoolga. Or continue further south to Nambucca Heads for a picture perfect camping ground beside the river and the beach. Again, rent a tinny and spend the day fishing on the river. You might not catch anything, but you will see a lot of the wildlife.

For the next stop, I would be making it at South West Rocks. There's heaps to do here and a visit up to the old gaol is worth a few hours. The view from Point Perpendicular lighthouse is superb and the surfing is pretty good too.

From there, head to the area of Forster, Tuncurry, Myall Lakes, Port Macquarie, Laurieton. All very nice areas clustered around each other and difficult to know which one to stay at. Pick maybe Port Macquarie and spend a few days travelling around the area. In the right season, you can do whale watching trips as whales migrate up to their breeding grounds around Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef.

Next stop, I would leave the coast and head into the Hunter Valley to stay maybe in Pokolbin. From here I would do

What's your favorite camping place in or close to oregon?

ANGELA H

where is your favorite place to go camping in oregon? What makes it so great for you? Is there tent camping, rvs, cabins? Are dogs welcome?

Answer
Nehalem Bay State Park, on the Oregon coast has great camping. You can pitch a tent, or bring an RV. Dogs are allowed, and there are nice bathrooms/showers. It's close to Manzanita, and Cannon Beach, which are nice towns.

Need a secluded camping site close to Portland?

Sean

So I'm gonna be turning 21 and I'm having a party with my friends. I need to find a camping place that is secluded and away from other campsites. We are willing to drive a few hours from Portland, Oregon. If you can help it would be very much appreciated.

Answer
It's probably 4 hours but there is a BLM campground near Roseburg called Scared Man that is pretty remote and little used. It would likely be empty except for your party. There are also some little used BLM & Forest Service campgrounds on the way to Waldport off of Hwy 34. Call the BLm & USFS & ask the recreation specialists for a suggestion.

In short, companies in US that have businesses with PDVSA can't do it anymore... I think one of the Companies affected in US by this CITGO, because they are linked to PDVSA.

For me, an opposite to Chavez Regime, living in US, I think is OK, despite affects the biggest and most important Company of my Country, but that Company is now someting different as what original was, since Chavez took control of the Country and turning everything into 'Red Socialist'.

It is already well known the big relation of Hugo Chavez regime with Iran and the both with Islamic Terrorist Groups, as well with Colombian and Spanish Terrorist Groups. There are Islamic Terrist Camp, and there's a cell from Hezbollah currently operating in the State of Zulia, between the border with Colombia.

Questions about the Nazi's during the holocaust?

MaryPoppin

I just watched 'the boy in the striped pyjamas.' In a part of the movie, 'Hugo' secretly watches a trailer, a short movie, I guess, of the 'camps.' It was full of all this bullcrap about the camps, how the Jewish had 'musical evenings' and 'a hearty meal' each night.

Were these trailers played to the general public? Or to the Jews arriving to the camp? Did these videos, trailers, even exist? Thanks guys!!

Answer
I don't know if they did them about the camps but I know they did propaganda films which portrayed the ghettos into which many Jews were forced prior to being sent to the camps as much better than they were. There was a documentary recently called A Film Unfinished about a notorious Nazi propaganda movie which depicted the Warsaw Ghetto as being an essentially pleasant place to live.

What are some of the processes of foreclosure?

family tents for sale on UK Camp Site Adverts - For Sale
family tents for sale image

dustin h

What are some of the repercutions of a foreclosure? Will I be able to rent a place if my house is foreclosed on? Will I be asked to pay the remaining balance on the loan of my house?

Answer
Lily's Mom- I don't care how "helpful" you think you are being but when you do not know an answer, it is better to keep silent than pass along misinformation.

There are two primary processes of foreclosure. The first is called a judicial foreclosure because it is treated as a full court matter. It takes considerable time to complete. In certain jurisdictions it is the only manner in which a creditor MIGHT be able to obtain a deficiency judgment or a judgment in excess of the sales price of the property.

In most jurisdictions, a non-judicial foreclosure is the most common practice because it is much, much faster. In some jurisdictions the selection of speed in a non-judicial foreclosure requires the lender to give up all rights to any deficiency judgment and other jurisdictions prohibit deficiency judgments in all instances of a family occupied home.

Do check the issue of deficiency judgments with an attorney or knowledgeable local realtor. My guess is that you have nothing to be concerned with.

You should have no problem or little problem renting a new residence. You do not believe that landlords are not cognizant of what is happening in the real estate market. There are unfortunately thousands of people going through what you face and ALL OF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE FORCED TO LIVE IN TENT CITIES.

Relax....Take a deed breath.... You are going to be fine.... You were likely defrauded by your lender whose agent failed to properly advise you on the risks of the loan they made for you. Let them hint about going after them and threaten them in turn with professional negligence, fraud and misrepresentation, abuse of process and general negligence.

You have paid a very expensive lesson. Hopefully, you will be able to get into another home. You might not get a mortgage in your name anytime shortly, but you can learn about landsales contracts and assumable loans that will keep your hope alive for another "home' opportunity.

Good Luck.

Do I have a future and can I change my mentality?

Gena Smith

I am 22 but sometimes I feel like I am old or missed my chance in my childhood (bad family and poverty situation).

I read and look up self help books as well as try to understand people more.

I just want to know from a older person perspective, what can I change now to impact my future in a positive way. I am going to be a fifth year college student. Thanks.

Answer
When I was 22 I had a community college 2-year degree, 4 f's at a state university, no dates, and I lived with my mother helping her take care of 6 younger siblings which I had done for the previous 4 years after my father died.
This is what I did with my younger siblings - we collected recycling and saved every penny to go on summer camping trips every summer for a week at our favorite lake. We found ways and means to have fun for free or really cheap. We spent summers at the beach, fall and winter at local parks, hiked horseback riding trails in the middle of the wealthiest neighborhood (awesome view of the ocean and islands from the top of that hill), and looked for adventure everywhere. Part of the adventure included a disatrous camping trip to a national park involving a late-March heavy snowfall, bald tires on the van, a collapsed tent, a stove that barely worked, and a night in a ranger's cabin after sliding out on a snowy road on the way home.
When I was 24 I moved into that same national park, took on a toilet-cleaning job at the hotel there, and lived in a tent which really was company housing then for one year, including during winter snow (NOT making this up!) and met my husband.
Life is still an adventure for me, and now my 10-year old daughter shares the adventure.
I needed a blanket living in the tent, so I went to the free bin in the community bin, bought some sewing scissors and a spool of thread, borrowed a sewing machine, found a magazine with a pattern included, and made a quilt. I backed it with a sheet thrown away by the hotel. I still make quilts with free fabric, even though I now live in a house.
Life is an adventure. Poverty is an adventure. I now make jewelry pendants out of found objects from alleys, parking lots, campsites, trash bins, etc. I get furniture for free from friends and relatives' garages and paint it and sell it at yard sales and decorate my house with it. Almost every book in my 500-volume library cost about fifty cents each (yard sales and thrift stores).
You really are looking at life all wrong. You see a bag of garbage, I see five pennies, a quarter, 10 bottles to turn in for cash recycling, that plastic battery cover plate for that broken radio can become the backing for a pendant, that ripped shirt still has buttons I can use for my latest wallhanging, I can cut up the fabric from those torn jeans to make a denim quilt, and I bet I could sell those books for $2 each on amazon.com
Life really is what you make of it ( and I can make a lot with it!) Start making a life.

Where are some good places to camp in southern California?

best camping place in southern california on San Diego Beach Camping in Southern California
best camping place in southern california image

digsmalls

I'm looking to find some places in southern California, preferably where I can do some fishing. But, I don't want to camp in an actual campground. Any suggestions.?

Answer
Well in the imediate so cal region you dont have too many options, the only places you can open or dispersed camp near water with fish in it is deep creek and bear creek up near big bear and those will be a 5 mile + hike in-n-out camp out. All other area's that are fishable restrict camping to established camp grounds. If you want to avoid crowds and noisey campers go mid week, you may have to as it is because all the campgrounds at or near fishable waters around LA, SD, OC, and Inland Empire are reserve only and get booked up 6 months in advance specially on the weekends. If your willing to drive out a bit to the northern border of southern california the Kern river has some very nice dispersd camping along that river, going further north near Bishop Ca the options are even better. Also going east to the Colorado river(way too hot for me) there is a lot of dispersed camping.

Good Luck!

Where can I take my dog and my wife camping in southern california?

yaklife

I want to take my wife and dog camping in southern California. We will be using a tent to stay in and I have a Jeep Wrangler. What are some nice places we could go camping for the weekend?

Answer
Any of the national forests allow dogs at their campgrounds the choices are endless. I would pick one with access to water like a stream or something, My dogs love it I can't keep them out of it. 4wd will increase your choices over some other folks I like the back country roads too. Some spots to consider are along highway 33 in Ojai mountains it winds thru Los Padres National Forest northbound to the California Central Valley. This area is called Rose Valley & totally worth a stop. Campgrounds located along Sespe Creek (MIDDLE LION) and at Rose Valley Falls (ROSE VALLEY)

Where can I find a secluded camping spot close to the beach in the mid-atlantic region?

camping place in new jersey on Wildwood Crest New Jersey - Wildwood Crest Beach
camping place in new jersey image

Jenni

My fiance and are getting married on July 27th and we would like to camp on the beach for our honeymoon. It would be okay if we are near the beach, but not directly on it, though we'd prefer to be close to the water if possible. We are mostly concerned with privacy, because we do not want to spend our honeymoon with our tent pitched 20 feet away from the next group of campers. We are on a budget and probably can't afford more than $300 or so for the week, and we'd like to stay within a 5 hour drive of Philadelphia. Any ideas?

Answer
First, you are not permitted to camp on the beach in any area of the US that I know of. There are good reasons for this -- people are dumb about tides and would be too likely to set up camp at low tide and then be flooded. Beaches need to be available for day use by most recreational users and campsites would interfere with that. Coastal animals need free access to beach areas during the night. You can't put bathrooms on beaches easily.

So all campgrounds are set back from the beach, often behind a dune or screened by trees, You are also expecting to find a prime campsite in the most desirable sort of areas in the most densely populated part of the country during the peak month for family camping. I doubt at this late date you will be able to find anything resembling what you are asking for that is not already reserved.

Your only hope would be to start now, looking at the Parks department websites for PA, New Jersey, Delaware and Connecticut, looking at all the campgrounds in coastal areas and then attempting to make on line reservations.

Campgrounds, especially near beaches, are always packed in the summer. There is no way you will have privacy in a tent in these areas.

I would suggest giving up the beach idea and looking farther inland. There is a campground at Caledonia State Park off route 30 about a half hour west of Gettysburg that has nice private campsites for tent campers that are away from the bustle of the trailer and RV campers. They have nice bathhouses with hot showers and flush toilets. Not near the ocean but you can ride bikes through the country lanes north of the campground and there is a nice lake with a swimming beach.

The only option I can think of for beach camping and privacy would be if you are willing to backpack. You can go to Assateague Island off the Virginian coast and backpack up the beach 10 miles to a campsite directly behind a dune which can only be reached by hiking. There would no doubt be other people camping there but you would be able to find a place to pitch your tent away from the others. You would have to pack in all your own food AND water though and there are not services -- this is primitive camping.

Truly, I hate to be so pessimistic about this but I have been camping in the Mid Atlantic for 40 years (live in western PA) and used to work for an outfitter and know the situation well. The grim reality is that there are too many people competing for too few campgrounds, especially this summer when the government sequester situation has caused cutbacks in personnel and services to many public camping areas and parks. If this was your dream honeymoon idea you should have made reservations 6 months to a year ago.

How can I get from Pennington New jersey to Woodbury Premium Outlet mall in NY without a car?

Claudia B

I am going to be going to a camp and we have free dats and i really want to do some shopping at Woodbury outlets but i am will not have a car what is the most practical, fastest and cheapest way to get there. And what day of the week is the best to go?

Answer
I can't answer you as far as the travel, but I can tell you that its best to go to the Commons on a weekday. If you do go on a weekend, go early in the morning (9am) as it gets very, very crowded. If you're taking public transportation, you can probably go later. Have fun! The place is huge!

What are some good places to visit for World War 2 history?

camping place in kent on Camping in William Kent Campground - Lake Tahoe Basin National Forest ...
camping place in kent image

Alex D

I want to travel Europe some day and want to know what are some good World War 2 sites to visit. Places other than Normandy/Omaha Beach.

Answer
In addition to Normandy battlefields, there is:

â¢Hamm (Luxembourg)
Visit the American Military Cemetery, where General Patton is buried.

â¢Bastogne (Belgium)
This is the center of the Battle of the Bulge, the largest land battle of World War II. It was also the largest battle ever fought by the American Army.
1.Visit the site, near Malmedy, where Nazi troops massacred 85 American prisoners.
2.Visit the Battle of the Bulge Museum at Diekirch.

â¢Hürtgen Forest (Germany)
The battle of the Hürtgen Forest, lasting from September, 1944, to February, 1945, was one of the worst battles ever experienced by the American Army.
Walk in the forest near Kommerscheidt, reflecting back on that horrible time in the autumn of 1944 when thousands of American soldiers became casualties among the firs of the black Hürtgen Forest.

â¢Remagen (Germany)
The capture of the bridge at Remagen enabled thousands of American troops to cross the Rhine âwith dry feet.â
1.Visit the site of Ludendorff Bridge and see the imposing towers that still stand today.
2.Visit the small museum inside the towers on the West Bank.

These were the major WWII "battlefields". Other places of interest include:

â¢Holocaust Memorials:
Of the countless concentration camps, Dachau , just outside of Munich, is most visited. Auschwitz-Birkenau (near Kraków), Mauthausen (between Vienna and Salzburg), and Terezín (near Prague) are more powerful and less touristed.
In Amsterdam, Anne Frank's House museum tells the story of a young girl who lived through it and died from it.

â¢Nazi-related Sites and Museums (Germany) :
-Munich
1.The Munich City Museum traces the origin and development of Nazism.
2.To uncover Nazi sites in Munich, take the "Hitler and the Third Reich" walking tour by Radius Tours (www.radiusmunich.com).
-Berlin
1.Most original Nazi sites are hidden. To help uncover them, take the "Infamous Third Reich Sites" walking tour by Berlin Walks (www.berlinwalks.com).
2.The Topography of Terror exhibit illustrates SS tactics.
3.Käthe Kollwitz Museum is filled with art inspired by the horrors of Berlin's Nazi experience.
4.In nearby Wannsee (near Potsdam), you can tour the house where Hitler's cronies came up with the "Final Solution" of the Holocaust.
5.In front of the glass-domed Reichstag is a row of slate slabs embedded in the ground, memorializing the 96 politicians who were persecuted and murdered because their politics didn't agree with Chancellor Hitler's.
6.Plötzensee Prison, where Nazi enemies were imprisoned and executed (www.gedenkstaette-ploetzensee.de).
-Nürnberg
1.The Rally Grounds, where the the ghosts of Hitler's showy propaganda rallies still rustle.
2. Nazi Documentation Center, with a "Fascination and Terror" exhibit that examines the causes and consequences of the Nazi phenomenon (www.museen.nuernberg.de).
-Berchtesgaden
1.The town of Berchtesgaden, near the Austrian border, is any German's choice for a great mountain hideaway â including Hitler's. Hitler's famous Eagle's Nest, designed as a retreat for diplomatic meetings, towers high above Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden.
2.For more substance visit the nearby Nazi Documentation Center, including a visit to the bunkers that burrow into the mountainside.
-Trier
Westwall Museum, with tourable bunkers that made up part of the Nazis' supposedly impenetrable western fortification.

â¢Other Interesting Sites and Museums:
1.Torgau (Germany)
Visit the meeting site and small museum commemorating the Russian - American link-up of armies.
2.Imperial War Museum (London, England)
This museum features military vehicles, weapons, war memorabilia of 20th century and later conflicts.
3.Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms (London, England)
Located in the bunker which was operational nerve centre of the British government during World War 2.
4.Dover Castle (Kent, England)
This castle was used as a base to monitor the Normandy invasion.
5.D-Day Museum (Portsmouth, England)
This museum tells the story of Operation Overlord during the Normandy D-Day landings. The museum houses the Overlord embroidery and the display involves a film show including original footage and archive film.

This is all I could come up with, after studying websites and comparing tours. These are the main attractions. I'm sure there are more. Enjoy your planning. Goodluck.

Where can a group of young people go camping near essex?

cokercoker

3 friends and I are looking to camp somewhere this week within a couple of hours of our home in essex, we are thinking Kent, sussex, norfolk. The catch is we want to go somewhere we can listen to music and make a bit of noise without disturbing families. Any ideas?

Answer
There is a camp site that has been closed and is just now re-opening. The owner, Steve Christy, welcomes teen groups and is more than understanding with late night noise. Its called, Camp Crystal Lake. Beautiful place, but struggling financially. Years ago, it got a bad rap when a local mom, Pamela Voorhees lost her son in a boating accident. She blamed the counselors and was instrumental in closing this place down. Now, it is just a place with some great camp sites and some run down cabins you can rent cheap. I'm sure that Steve would be willing to offer a free stay in trade for word of mouth. He really wants to get this property back to positive income flow. The local's and their superstitions have been quite the drag. They have created some ridiculus stories about the horrible accident. Apparently, the body of Pam's son, Jason, has never been found.

Good luck!

What monuments or buildings of the Nazis still remain ?

Phil A

Is it true most of the early autobahns were built by the Nazis ?

Answer
Yes, the first Autobahns were built during Hitler's time(search for Fritz Todt on the internet) although plans for them existed previously.

I don't know all of the buildings and monuments that remain but I'll tell u what I know and/or seen in my travels in Europe :
- in Berlin there's Goering's former ministery building (now I think it's the finance ministery building) and you can't miss it, it's huge and in the style of the time ,on Wilhelmstrasse right by the Berlin Wall.
- again in Berlin there's the Olympic Stadium built for the Summer Olympic Games in 1936
- also in Berlin you can actually visit part of what I think was a fascinating structure, the Flakturme(Flak tower) at Humboldthein (half of it remains ,mostly buried under a hill of rubble that is now part of a park because the french couldn't destroy all of it)
- there are some more buildings used/built around that time, I randomly saw one other but I don't remember its name now. Oh and I don't know if the old airport is still standing.
- in Nuremberg you can visit the area where they held the party rallies . There are some stuff still standing ,like the unfinished Congress Hall and the Zeppelinfeld (both planned and built by Albert Speer). There's also a power station built specifically for that and where you have a Burger King now and on one side of the building you can see the place where a swastika eagle was on the wall.
- in Hamburg there's also a Flak tower still standing
- in Auschwitz you can visit Auschwitz I and II(Birkenau)
- in Dachau u can see what remains of that concentration camp
- another concentration camp is near Berlin.
- in Heidelberg there are ruins of a sort of summer theatre thing also designed by Speer
- in Berchtesgaden the train station is also from Nazi time ,there's even a sign on a door from that time.
- also in Berchtesgaden area you can go to Obersalzberg where the Berghof was (now only part of a wall remains) and where you can see many remains if you know where to look, ruins of the bunker system (especially under the Zum Turken hotel, that one is a great WWII relic to visit and not even half as touristy as the one at the Documentation center).
- from Obersalzberg one can go to Eagle's Nest/Kehlsteinhaus, built by Bormann for Hitler's 50th bday and sporting a very cool elevator planned by Speer also as a gift. There there's also a fireplace gift from Mussolini.
- near Berchtesgaden(I think Bad Reichenhall or Bischofswiesen) there's a building that used to be used as a sort of Chancellery and you can still see the place where the big eagle was placed.
there are probably more stuff that I forget about or don't know. There might be some remains of the Atlantic Wall but I don't know for sure.

What are some summer camps near me?

Rebecca

So I've been thinking of going to a camp this year, one where you stay there for like 2 weeks or something. I've never gone to camp, which is why I'm looking so early so I know what I'm getting into. Is there any good summer camps for teens ( im 14 ) that involve things like hiking, crafts, or anything like that. I don't care about rock climbing or swimming ( fear of heights and deep water ). Is there any camps near Jamestown New York? ( I don't live there btw) no more than an hour drive though. Another location could be Hamburg New York too. Any good camps near those two places?

Please (if you want to) award this a star PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Answer
I live in Brisbane Australia. The main attraction is the weather (golden sunshine pretty much all year round) and its close proximity to both Sunshine Coast (north 1 hour) and gold coast (south 1 hour) beaches. Also the Great Barrier Reef is close as well. then theres all the tourist island camps like Fraser island, Stradbroke etc.

Has anyone driven the coast from Melbourne to Brisbane? Did you camp along the way, rent a camper, hotel?

Lauren

Headed to Australia in a few months. Had a friend recommend that we rent a camper and take a week or so and drive the coast to Brisbane. Any thoughts?

Answer
Lauren, great way to do it. You can stop when you want, go off and see what you want. We do it here with my wife, we rent an RV (motor home), and head off to Nova Scotia or P.E.I.

The coast road your talking about is exhilarating, very spectacular. When you get into NSW, stop off at a place called 7 Mile Beach, there are camping areas there.

mimi

I'm planning to go camping with my family and I need to pick a great camping spot. Does anybody knows any great camping places that are near the lake?
Does anybody knows great camps in WAshinghton that are near the lakes?

Answer
There are no great lakeside camping places in Washington.
All look like they've been occupied recently by folks that did
not pick up all their litter, the restrooms get cleaned twice daily
if you're lucky (Hong Kong cleans public toilets every two hours),
and you're going to have noisy neighbors at all hours. Dry Falls
in Central Washington is a good example. It is a worthwhile
visit, scenic, but camping is not a great experience. Even the
offshore Marine Parks like Clark Island or Patos are over-used.
If I were to send reader anyplace the latter two have lots of water
and absolutely no SUV traffic.

Where is the best place for a young adult to live in Los Angeles trying to pursue a music singing?

camping place near los angeles image

madison4ly

I am an 19 year old not from LA, wanting to seriously pursue a singing career and was wanting to know where abouts would be the best place in Los Angeles to live/rent, near to places with open mic nights, connections to the music industry ect. Where it is safe on a moderate budget.
Thanks

Answer
We see this every day in this forum: Everyone who wants to move here is looking for âcheap/affordable and safe". However, such a place just doesnât exist; the two terms are mutually exclusive. It's all about supply and demand: If it's in SoCal, then it's not going to be cheap to begin with. If it's a safe area, then it's more expensive.

If you want to live here and enjoy the weather, then you have to pay for it. You put up with the smog and the traffic, enjoy the weather and pay your rent or mortgage. My advice is to start checking out craigslist, rent.com, and apartments.com if you are looking to rent. Youâll quickly see that the minimum rent for a non-war zone is about $1,000-$1,200 per month for a studio or 1BR. Really nice areas (like the West LA area) easily run $3,000 or more. Want to live near the beach? Expect to pay a premium.

Coming to LA to "pursue your dream as an musician"? It's a stupid idea. And I can say that because I live here, and see the consequences of the thousands of young people with the same idea, all because they had to "pursue their dream". Trouble is, 99.99% of them come here unprepared, unrealistic, with no money, no experience, no skills, and no plan.

You seem to be under the fantasy/delusion that you can just show up in "Hollywood" and be "discovered". That's a myth. A fantasy. NEVER happens. EVER.

Want to know how people get "discovered"? It doesn't just happen overnight:

1. Go as much experience as you can. That means practice, practice, practice, every day. Most people don't have the discipline to be any good. And this also means that you sign up for every singing workshop, musical theater production, and drama/singing camp that you can find.

2. Next, you need contacts. By doing step 1, you'll start to get contacts. You need them in this town. Because the way you get a contract is when someone in the music or movie business hears about you. And they aren't going to sit in every karaoke bar in Hollywood to find you. (It's too painful, much like the opening rounds of American Idol).

3. You need an agent. Because your agent will have your demo, your head shot, and he/she's the one with contacts in this industry. Your agent is the one that gets the casting calls. Your agent can set up the gigs in the really high profile places.

4. You need money. Money to stay in LA while all this is going on. Money for workshops, camps, and classes while you improve your craft. Let's do the math, shall we?

Unless you have mad skills and a killer resume, you'll make minimum wage, which is currently $8 per hour. If you are lucky enough to get 40 hours per week, that's 320 per week, or $1280 gross per month. And that's BEFORE taxes. Take home is probably $910. Now it's a hard economic fact that you should spend around 1/3 of your salary on rent or mortgage. One third of $910 is about $300, which is what you can afford. However, the average rent for a studio/bachelor/single apartment is about $1000, and a 1BR is about $1200. In order to afford that, you need to make at least $3000 per month. Looks like you're a little short.

Expecting to come to LA and be discovered is unrealistic, and I'm sorry to say, pathetic. Feel free to come visit and enjoy the sights. But generally takes months to make the right contacts so that you can get in on an open mic night or an audition.

If you wanted help, you got the best advice anyone can give you at this point. What you choose to do with it is up to you.

I am a police explorer and we are having a camping trip (4 days 3 nights). They are bringing the food and shelter, I have never gone camping before so i know very little of what to bring.
Oh I live in Arizona and there is going to be showers in walking distance.
1 more thing we are allowed to bring knifes and all that good stuff!

Answer
You have to ask, WHERE are you camping. Near a beach, deep in the forest trail, mountain, well managed accessible park?

WHAT are you doing? Is it a family event with children? Just adults but relaxed, or "real" camping?

CONDITIONS: Will you have water and electricity? Shower and toilet facilities? Check weather forecast.

Go to the state park website whichever state you are camping and read the reviews and research the details.

But for generalization: cover the essentials.
1. Lighting - Gas/propane/battery lantern, LED headlamps.
2. Sleeping pad/bag and pillow - $5 foam at wal-mart or self inflating pad for about $20-25. or an airbed for about $80. You need to protect your spine if you are not used to sleeping on the ground.
3. First Aid kit, insect repellent, sun screen, citronella candles.
4. Tools - knife, ax, mallet/hammer, small shovel, matches/lighter, multi-tool.
5. Shelter - Ropes, Nylon, bungees. Tarps - In case it rains, most tents are not water proof.
6. Clothing - Minimal essential clothing, they take up space quickly, but don't run out. Or just keep them in the car.
7. Water - Plenty of drinking water, you might have to run to a store after 2 days. More if you plan to do physical activities like sports. And get some Ice while you're at the store. Extra Ice is always good.
8. Coolers - Keep raw meats cold and separate from ready to eat food.
9. Cooking - Propane stoves or coal and fire wood. utensils. Don't forget the propane.
10. Hygiene - Your personal kit, Dish soap/sponges, trash bags.
11. Cash - You never know.
12. Toys - whatever constitute to you as a toy. Board games, cards, musical instruments, boom box, bike, hammock.

I gave you a list not of items but conditions and what to fill them with.
Basically, whatever you do inside, you're just doing it outside.
Coordinate with others and try to help each other.
Camping is about functioning as a community.

If food and cooking are covered, it should even be easier.
You will end up with:
1 large camping backpack - Basic essentials
1 medium cooler - Food/water
1 handheld lamp.

Be safe and Have Fun!

Need recommendation for a hotel near Yosemite National Park?

We are going to visit Yosemite for a day in September. Is there a nice place at around the park to stay or do you have to stay in a nearby town?

Answer
Hey there! September is a really good time to visit, once some of the summer-vacation crowds have left. I used to live and work in the Yosemite area, and have tried many of the places to stay both in and around the park. Here are some recommendations.

*INSIDE YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK*

In Yosemite Valley, the heart of the park, the cabins at Curry Village are fun, though the safari-style tents may be too rustic if you're not into camping. The Lodge at Yosemite Falls has typical cookie-cutter motel rooms -- not worth the price. If money is no object, the Ahwahnee hotel is luxurious.

In the southern part of the park, near the biggest redwood tree grove, the Wawona Hotel is an old-fashioned place. If you'd rather stay up in the high country of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the park has tent cabin lodging near Tuolumne Meadows that's fun for families, though a bit rustic.

You can find out more info about all of these in-park accommodations here:

*OUTSIDE YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK*

Most of the towns near the park entrances offer basic motel and hotel lodgings, mostly chains, at inflated prices. I've found the fairest deals in Oakhurst, just south of the park. You can peruse recent traveler reviews here:

Otherwise, Groveland (northwest of the park) has some good options, too, in many price ranges. Our all-time favorite place to stay near Yosemite is the Evergreen Lodge:

Just outside the park's west entrance, the hostel-like Yosemite Bug has cozy cabins, tents and dorms for budget travelers, family-style:

Any other questions, just ask! Happy to share what I know about Yosemite. You can click on my profile to email me, too, if you prefer.
