camping place near chicago image
My friends and I, ages 18-20, would like to plan a vacation for this upcoming spring/summer and were wondering what were some places to check out? We like beaches, hiking, camping, nightlife, amusement parks and shopping. We have traveled before to the Wisconsin Dells, St. Louis, MO, Indiana Dunes, and Cleveland, OH. We live in Chicago and would like to drive no more than 8 hours each way. Any and all suggestions would be very helpful!

I just want to pitch a tent for the night, doesn't need to be anything spectacular. Needs to be close to Chicago though (preferably a little north).

yogi bear campground near mendota 2 and half hours west of chicago
woodhaven lakes also near mendota
