Where is a good beach front camping ground near chicago?

Im looking for family friendly and pet friendly place. Walking distance from the beach and hopefully with some things to do like basketball, fishing, boating, etc. Im totally lost and sick of looking. Maybe somewhere in Michigan or Indiana? HELP.

A few friends and I wanted to go camping this summer (we would have adult supervision). We are all high-school girls. What is a fun place to go camping that is near chicago?

The campground should have:

- beach
- swimming
- trails for walking
