Last week in Yellowstone I ran into this big group of Harley guys who looked like the real deal, grey beards, handle bar mustaches, well worn leathers, only they had Swiss flags attached to their hogs and they were all talking presumably in Swiss. Very weird. Wonder if they allow Harleys to hold up traffic on the autobon.

Answer
yeah you see a lot of Europeans & other people riding all over the western U.S. in the summer.
one year at sturgis there was a large group of Austrailians (at least a hundred of them)that took over a whole section of glencoe campground. they had a lot of older harleys some of them real rat bikes or "jappers" as they call them. "she's a real japper aint she mate".they were a lot like American bikers from the 60's or 70's.
once ran into a pack of 20 or30 old harley & indian flat heads mostly from the 1930's headed east at about 50 mph on I-90 they were from the netherlands & headed back to new york to return home by ship after a month of riding all over the U.S. on those old flatty's!
never been there, but I read that big full dress harleys have a near cult status in Japan where there riden by clubs of wealthy mostly older men. (RUB's about the same as here).
strangest one I ever ran into was a guy who flew in from England with just a tent & gear in a back pack & camped out at sturgis for bike week. he never even had a bike! not sure he could even ride.
sturgis used to be a real interesting place before it was taken over by family's with little kids & thousands of old people who drive motor homes & golf carts.

Have you ever been camping in the wilderness?

Well,ok then...I recently purchased a Swiss Gear Montreaux,10 man tent, lanterns etc.etc..and hope to one day use it with family and friends...Haven't set it up yet but it looks to be quite spacious and well constructed...
