camping place in pennsylvania image

My friend and I want to go camping near/in the PA Grand Canyons (not the actual grand canyons). We don't have much money at all and don't want to stay in the State Parks which is 15-19 dollars a night. I would like somewhere for free or less than 10 bucks a night. We don't want to hike anywhere to camp. We just want to park and camp. Thanks in advance!

If you're that strapped for funds, perhaps you should delay your trip. Just pitching a tent and camping out isn't smart. Any legitimate campground will charge you at least that much per night. Here's a link:http://www.allcampgrounds.com/blog/?tag=pennsylvania-grand-canyon

I'm looking for a place in Pennsylvania or surrounding states to do some backpacking?

I want to find a place where you can backpack and settle down and camp for the night where ever you want. If this exist I don't know. Most of the parks I looked into will only let you backpack and camp in general camping areas or huts and you would have to pay for using the camping area. If anyone has any ideas let me know! I have a vacation coming up and I'd like to go on a backpacking trip :) Thanks!
