Where do you live and what is the center of attraction in that place?

Whether its a town, city or suburb i want to know how is it there, describe it in its splendour. I live on the west side of puerto rico near the beach its always hot and you can see whales if you come on the right season and the right time.

I live in Brisbane Australia. The main attraction is the weather (golden sunshine pretty much all year round) and its close proximity to both Sunshine Coast (north 1 hour) and gold coast (south 1 hour) beaches. Also the Great Barrier Reef is close as well. then theres all the tourist island camps like Fraser island, Stradbroke etc.

Has anyone driven the coast from Melbourne to Brisbane? Did you camp along the way, rent a camper, hotel?

Headed to Australia in a few months. Had a friend recommend that we rent a camper and take a week or so and drive the coast to Brisbane. Any thoughts?

Lauren, great way to do it. You can stop when you want, go off and see what you want. We do it here with my wife, we rent an RV (motor home), and head off to Nova Scotia or P.E.I.

The coast road your talking about is exhilarating, very spectacular. When you get into NSW, stop off at a place called 7 Mile Beach, there are camping areas there.
