Absolutely, Lake Travis is a wonderful place for camping. Since it's a favorite among the locals, you can be sure to find camping areas with amenities. Or, you may rough it as well and camp "old style" if you prefer. The water sports and leisure activities are fun of course. So if you do not bring your own equipment there are rental places and shops located nearby as well.

Places to camp on the beach in Oregon?

Me and friends want to go camping on the beach, not at a park near the beach or in dunes but on the beach. So what are some good places to go in Oregon?

Camping is allowed on beaches provided:
* It is not adjacent to a state park
* It is not within any city limits
* It is in the Oregon Recreational Area right-of-wayâfrom the Pacific Ocean to 16 feet above the low tide line.
* The beach is not closed to camping for environmental protection reasons, most commonly Snowy Plover nesting areas
* Not allowed in Clatsop and Tillamook counties (though there are pending legal challenges)
