TWIN DOG
got my van fixed up and am looking for a good time camping do you know some good locations I live in so. California
Answer
I have camped in hundreds of places and have dozens of favorites, most you have to hike to some you can car camp at. What is key is planning ahead and making reservations early on where needed as most of the best places get booked 6-9 months in advance. Big Bear lake is a popular southern ca. destination with (B)Serrano campground the top choice, good luck on getting a spot there. Dispersed camping (C) is allowed all around the mountain near the lake but you have to bring your own everything and only a few campgrounds are first come only.
Behind L.A. on highway 2 is a small sag pond lake called (A)Jackson lake it has several campgrounds near it and is a quite peaceful destination some sites are reservable most are first come first served.

Answer
Are you really being serious about that or having a laugh?
You are a 'good' group of people and want to light a fire out in the countryside in beautiful Wicklow not too far from where you can leave a car so you don't have to cart the beer crates for miles eh?
That's a contradiction of enormous magnitude by the standards applying to the care of the lovely Wicklow Hills and all of Wicklow and worse by the minute as the black stuff sinks further down the gullet and the vision of charred Wicklow remains spreads across the landscape of the inner vision of the poetic minded and artistic countryside sympathiser that I am and most are where Wicklow or any of the wonders of Ireland's beautiful places are concerened.
Ask a landowner if you can mess up a bit of field and tidy it up afterward.
You might just possibly need to ask another, and another after that and so on.
What you have in mind is a violation of the regulations applying to all countryside in Ireland outside of your own land if it's done without the agreement of the people whose land it is and if it's government land, that is common land with free access for all, you'll be terribly in the shite if the law catches you when you're up to doing it or afterward when they trace the people who were responsible for the smoke and flames seen for miles around and get the CCTV screens going and ask the locals for what cars were going where around there and find out who owns them.
You'd be better organising a bit of singing around the fire and a BBQ at the back of a pub in a quiet village somewhere.
You'd have some money left then for another do instead of paying out a hefty sum to the local court office.
Stay safe......
