Camping in Washington?

jhredmondw

I need to find a good place to camp in Washington about 2-3 hours away from Seattle (prefer East of Seattle). I have already gone to the Washington State Park and Recreation website so please don't give me a link to that. I want somewhere specific where you may have had a good experience. (Lake chelan and Lake Wenatchee are all booked). Please don't give me a link unless it is to a specific camping place you have been. I just want names of places to go. Thanks.

While I haven't camped up there I have driven up there several times and know there are camping spots, its a place called "Salmon La Sac" its where my grandparents ashes were spread, its just north of Roslyn (awesome town!). Its up in the mountains and really beautiful and I think they have cabins too. You should really look into it.

If you were willing to head south, there are some nice places around Mt. St. Helen's, just outside of Cougar, WA. Three I have stayed at are Panther Creek, Beaver, and Paradise Creek. Here are the links.

The final link is for campgrounds in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. If you click the link, on the right side of the page, it has campground information by district. Those are all east of Seattle, but I've never stayed at any of them. Good luck!
