You could have a concentration camp for wanna be clowns and they could socialize and learn new tricks. Or a concentration camp of old people and they could get earlie bird specials and watch the 5 o'clock news together. People always associate the nazis when we say concentration camp why? What bout a camp full of kittens people would love them then huh?

that's only for one reason: the media has created such a huge and terrible image of Germany and concentration camps, that every one thinks of rapists and criminals when Germans are mentioned. On one poster in my canadian school (im German) I read that in the hitler youth, pedophilia was pretty popular.... thats the worst kind of bullshit i have ever heard (it wasnt any bigger than in any other youth organization - today or in history) but yeah thanks to 65 years of the media creating this image thats why

whats the cheapest place to fly to in europe from san francisco in july or august?

I have time off until the last week of august and want to travel.
what would be the cheapest still best place to fly to in europe from sfo?
I would like to stay for 10 -14 days...and travel around. I know it may not sound so realistic without any planning but such is life. any ideas? comments?
how much do you think i will need to backpack around some countries in europe in 4 weeks? what would you recommend?

One of the cheapest countries to visit in Europe is Turkey and you could probably find a very affordable package holiday in a hotel.
But for traveling around back packing then you would probably be better considering places like Holland, Germany, Belgium or France. They have great facilities for camping and the further south you go the better the chance of decent weather. You could go by train or coach to make it more affordable.
You will need to make some plans though and you would probably want to get a pass for rail or coach travel that lets you travel pretty much where you want.
