Is there a place within a 3 hour drive of the Norfolk,VA area where you can camp directly on the beach?

no . all the beach camping areas limit you to camping in the dune area not directly on the beach it self

Where is a good place to Go camping in the mountains in VA?

Im from Virginia Beach, and in October my cousins and I want to go to a campground in the mountains, preferably somewhere that is "really " camping, i dont want to be by a million people! i also love great views and awesome trails, those are always a bonus! any suggestions?
