We're looking for a place where we can have some team bonding before seasons starts. Does anyone have a good camping site or something similar?

A good camping site, less than an hour from downtown Houston, is Stephen F. Austin State Park, which is in the Sealy area (San Felipe is the town). Exit 723 off Interstate 10. Go north about 4 miles, turn left at the sign (and Park Road 38). Get a few screened shelters together. Each will sleep 8.

Me and my friend want to spend a weekend and go camping. We don't have a camper, just my truck and maybe a tent and we are 17. Know any good places that has hiking there, or close and is just a relaxing place to be? Btw we live south of Atlanta so the south side would be preferred

Drive on GA 155 South. Proceed 0.26 mile east on Greenwood Industrial Pkwy.
Cross railroad tracks and park on north side. 0.95 mile north on shiny tracks
takes you into the Norfolk Southern Training Academy. 1.40 miles north past the
Academy the old M Line begins. Don't walk toward the Academy. Stand looking
southward from Parkway. You'd be correct to assume this portion as disused.
Don't flunk any students by being run over by their train. Walk with frequent
glances behind you. Pass a spur turning right. Pass a spur turning left. The M
Line will cross the Bill Gardner Pkwy first. Next is Luella Rd. Then the GA 155
crossing. You'll lose the rails shortly after going under heavy electrical cables
and M Line becomes submerged in asphalt. Turn right and walk to first cross-
street. Turn left and walk to the asphalt turn-around circle ahead. The M Line
continues as a narrow path atop gravel embankment in woodland. It will cross
Johnson Road. At this moment remember President Franklin D. Roosevelt also
did this route more than fifty times. See what that President saw. At woodland
end the rail bed turns into open pasture. You'd be wise to step westward onto
Trestle Road outside Griffin, Ga. Walk south. At Towaliga River road bridge look
east to see M Line span the water on a high wood trestle. Go south on Trestle
Road as M Line will cross just short of junction with another country road. Turn
to your right into wooded embankment. That will eventually cross over Teamon.
Stop. Walk road east a tad and look south into open field. Yes, see a steam
locomotive built in 1892 for the Houston & Texas Central RR. Then return to the
wooded route. Cross two more byways. Follow the rusty rails over N. 2nt St.
Another 0.30 mile onward is lovely view of adjacent reservoir. I suppose one could
soak there but I'd keep an eye open for snakes in the water. By this time you'll
also know why snake-proof boots and chaps are needed for Georgia rail hiking.
The next crossing is North Hill Road. Private homes sneak up close to your path.
Then comes Pinewood Avenue. You'll walk past the east end of Lakeview Street
and 0.25 mile onward your walk of M Line ends amid Griffin, Ga. Cross rail junction
ahead to enter southwest end of Railroad Av. While climbing a fence beware of any
Railroad Bulls. They'll enforce property laws. See the Old Atlanta Highway. 'Phone
somebody for a return ride. Or, walk cafe food off over the M Line again. No, folks,
I have no idea where the M Line may find you camping. You probably are safe
from rail traffic between Johnson and N. Hill. There's some solitude thereabouts.
