I am doing a powerpoint for my computer class about places that I want to go to in Germany. I plan to visit there in the future. So far I have Neuschwanstein Castle, Lichtenstein Castle, The Black Forest, Europa Park, Legoland Duchthland, The Church in the Rocks, Rhine River, and the Romantic Road. What are some other places that needs to be visited? Have you ever been to Germany? What was your favorite place(s)?

Answer
You could visit the BMW museum in Munich. Close by is also the Olympiazentrum (Olympic games 1972).
You could check out the Salt mine in Berchtesgaden or visit also the Castle Linderhof.
If you want to see some depressing places go to Dachau and check out the Concentration Camp.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a beautiful medieval town. There you can walk almost around the whole Town on the town wall or visit the medieval Criminal Museum, Toy museum etc.
Wuerzburg is great too.

What are the best things to do in Munich, Germany? What food do you suggest on trying?

I'm visiting Munich in the summer with my boyfriend and family and I was wondering what fun things there are to do or what sights we should see? We like to see where locals hang out and interesting places, not so much boring guided tours. I'm from the United States, travel a lot, but have not been to Munich. Any suggestions?

Answer
You will love it there! Not too far from Munich is Dachau, the first German Concentration Camp. It is free, but you will have to pay for a hand held device that guides you through a tour and explains everything (if you want it). The street performers in Munich are fun and there is a ton of stuff to see. I would suggest getting out and seeing the things around Munich or further. Not too far from where I live is Trier, the oldest city in Germany. There are buildings/ structures still standing from when the Romans were here! You can take a train, and it is reletively inexpensive http://www.raileurope.com/rail-tickets-passes/
There is so much to see in Germany, it would be a shame to close yourself off to one place!
